Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana loves opera and tangos, and the dramatic shows that she attends. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. Following her move to the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for various community-based projects because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at The Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing classic Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to sing the same.
